He graduated from the University of California Berkeley and Santa Clara University School of Law, and was admitted to the California Bar in 1995.

Personal
Mark and his wife, Marienella, have been married since 1991 and have three adult children including a son and two daughters. Mark and his family have been a part of the San Francisco East Bay Community for more than forty years. Mark likes to spend time with his family, hike, and ride his bike. When his schedule permits, you may find Mark on the ski slopes in Lake Tahoe, California. You might also catch him in the audience at a sporting event, or a musical or theater production. Mark is still trying to break 100 with his golf game.
